Let's use PG LOVE role play only to protect kids from cyber abuse.

It began with our family's shock at a NWN game site's rules encouraging covert cybering. After we tried to dicuss this on AmiaWorld forum, DMs not only banned our players but vindictively punished our son, a completely innocent bystander, causing him great mental pain and confusion. Since we can't go there any more, won't YOU please help us make Amia safe for children to play in? (Philosophical discussion is also linked.)

Pearl Dragon and more LUST - an abbreviated and annotated chat log - Part Three

Pearl Dragon: Try not to (get killed and use my last resurrection scroll) though.

(They descend to a the lowest level of Kobold Caverns and begin fighting their way towards the final showdown with the Kobold High Priest and his henchmen, where they should be able to collect a quest item, the High Priest's amulet, that they can show to a farmer outside Cordor's gates for a reward.)
Morder Lust: Thanks.
Delith Di'manodel: You're welcome
Morder Lust: Hmm...
Pearl Dragon: Those DRUMS.. sure are monotonous..
Jo Lust: I rest.
Pearl Dragon: Wait! What would I like to do? *Rests* Get ready..
Morder Lust: Yes?
(Now every player should know about the quest, but it frequently gets mucked up, so Pearl Dragon suggests an optimum strategy, and, let's be very clear on this point, she's sure to become very unhappy and uncooperative when the quest item never-the-less fails to be there when it's time to turn it in to that Non-Player Character quest giver, Farmer Holvin. )
Delith Di'manodel: Wait..
Pearl Dragon: BIG Battle...
Jo Lust: You talk funny.
Pearl Dragon: So one thing first..
Marla Tal'Norinda: Shall we call our companions?
Pearl Dragon: When we win..
Morder Lust: Nah, we'll do fine.
Delith Di'manodel: No.. No animals.
Kayriena Dragonwing: If we did, we would receive nothing for it
Pearl Dragon: We all collect the reward .. together.. ok?
Morder Lust: Yes,  at the moment we have 1 loot.
Marla Tal'Norinda: Tyr would want no less.
Morder Lust: Thank you again.
Pearl Dragon: Don't want one greedy guy run off with the loot, ok?

(Now there's a huge battle, but the large party is more than sufficient to win the day.)
Marla Tal'Norinda: Traps!  Careful.  And I ran into it.
Morder Lust: So...  How are we gonna share the loot?
Marla Tal'Norinda: We allow the gods of the temple to distribute.
Kayriena Dragonwing: What was it anyways?
Morder Lust: A dagger and some armor
Pearl Dragon: O.k.. Now who got the item we need to show the farmer?
Morder Lust: Hmm... The dagger?  From the high priest?
Pearl Dragon: That one we all go together and show one by one, o.k?
Morder Lust: He he.
Delith Di'manodel: Isn't it an amulet?.
Morder Lust: It's a dagger.
Pearl Dragon: Yeah, high priest's amulet is proof to the farmer, see.
Kayriena Dragonwing: Can I see that dagger?
Morder Lust: O.k...
Marla Tal'Norinda: He will be pleased that his oxen will no longer be threatened.
Pearl Dragon: We can all turn it in one by one, and then cast dice to see who keeps it.. ok?
Delith Di'manodel: Aright.
Morder Lust: I think it's o.k. .
Kayriena Dragonwing: I cannot identify its properties.
Morder Lust: Yea.
Pearl Dragon: I'm with you BIG guy..
Pearl Dragon: Lead on..

(On their way back from Kobold Caverns, they fight  briefly with a party of Kobold scouts.)
Morder Lust: *Laughs*
Pearl Dragon: Pesky little buggers.
Marla Tal'Norinda: Ouch!
Pearl Dragon: How dare they stand up to heroes like us? They're nothing.

(Sighting a farmhouse surrounded by Kobolds in the valley below.)
Pearl Dragon: Hey. Something down here!
Kayriena Dragonwing: Henry the hermit lives there.

(Catching up with the party again.)
Pearl Dragon: You guys ok? You look tired, honey, need a back rub?
Morder Lust: *Laughs*
Jo Lust: Eh...
Morder Lust: Maybe later. *grins*
Pearl Dragon: *MORE than willing* O.k. later..

(They arrive at Farmer Holvin's house where they should turn in the quest item for a reward.)
Morder Lust: And here we are.
Delith Di'manodel: Aye.

(Then, frustratingly, no matter who talks to the N.P.C. Farmer Holvin, he responds as if the quest hasn't been given yet! Pearl Dragon becomes, so upset that she completely blows away all the other party members except Morder Lust, from whom she intends to collect payment in full in private, after using her feminine wiles to make him suggest it, of course.)
Farmer Holvin: Gang of kobolds made off with all me oxen the other night. Damn things breed faster than we can get rid of em! If I didn't have two youngin's to take care of, why.. I'd go up north and take care of 'em myself!
Pearl Dragon: Yeah just show it to him one by one.
Morder Lust: You certainly belong with your family. I am more than willing to help though. Where are these kobolds laired?
Farmer Holvin: To the North and then to the east. There are some low hills in the area, and a cave I believe. You can hear them from here at night, baying and hissing...
Morder Lust: To the north, and then to the east. Got it.
Farmer Holvin: So, did you teach those no good, cottin' pickin', oxen-stealin' Kobolds a lesson?
Morder Lust: I'm working on it...
Morder Lust: //Hmm maybe it needs to be identified
Marla Tal'Norinda: //Let me guess... killing blow struck by someone without the quest.
Pearl Dragon: Takes some time, but better than doin' all that again. eh?
Marla Tal'Norinda: //Or not.
Morder Lust: Someone else try.
Farmer Holvin: Gang of kobolds made off with all me oxen the other night. Damn things breed faster than we can get rid of em! If I didn't have two youngin's to take care of, why.. I'd go up north and take care of em myself!
Delith Di'manodel: You certainly belong with your family. I am more than willing to help though. Where are these kobolds laired?
Farmer Holvin: To the North and then to the east. There are some low hills in the area, and a cave I believe. You can hear them from here at night, baying and hissing...
Delith Di'manodel: To the north, and then to the east. Got it.
Kayriena Dragonwing: // maybe we need the amulet
Farmer Holvin: So, did you teach those no good, cottin' pickin', oxen-stealin' Kobolds a lesson?
Marla Tal'Norinda: I'm working on it...
Morder Lust: //yeah
Marla Tal'Norinda: Let's ID it.
Morder Lust: //it's bugget
Marla Tal'Norinda: //err.
Marla Tal'Norinda: //On it.
Morder Lust: //k
Farmer Holvin: Gang of kobolds made off with all me oxen the other night. Damn things breed faster than we can get rid of em! If I didn't have two youngin's to take care of, why.. I'd go up north and take care of em myself!
Pearl Dragon: You have to show him that high priest's thing as evidence see?
Jo Lust: You certainly belong with your family. I am more than willing to help though. Where are these kobolds laired?
Farmer Holvin: To the North and then to the east. There are some low hills in the area, and a cave I believe. You can hear them from here at night, baying and hissing...
Jo Lust: To the north, and then to the east. Got it.
Morder Lust: Yes.
Farmer Holvin: So, did you teach those no good, cottin' pickin', oxen-stealin' Kobolds a lesson?
Pearl Dragon: Who's got it?
Delith Di'manodel: I'm working on it...
Morder Lust: The other woman.
Pearl Dragon: "Working on it"?
Morder Lust: Heh.
Pearl Dragon: You mean some greedy person nabbed it and ran off?
Morder Lust: Nah.
Pearl Dragon: Again!
Morder Lust: It's not that.
Pearl Dragon: Darn!
Morder Lust: She's comin' back.
Pearl Dragon: I tried to ..
Morder Lust: See?
Farmer Holvin: So, did you teach those no good, cottin' pickin', oxen-stealin' Kobolds a lesson?
Marla Tal'Norinda: I'm working on it...
Pearl Dragon: Coming back?
Morder Lust: So...
Pearl Dragon: Where from?
Marla Tal'Norinda: //Everyone get the quest.
Kayriena Dragonwing: // yeppers need the amulet
Pearl Dragon: The farmer's right here.
Marla Tal'Norinda: //Someone killed it who didn't have the quest.
Morder Lust: //well no can do
Morder Lust: ok
Marla Tal'Norinda: //As such, it didn't drop.
Morder Lust: Put it on the ground.
Pearl Dragon: Show him the high priest's amulet to finish.
Morder Lust: We don't have it
Pearl Dragon: Why not?
Morder Lust: Well,  I think we roll for it
Delith Di'manodel: Shall we roll for it?
Pearl Dragon: Who took it?
Morder Lust: Ok with everyone?
Marla Tal'Norinda: //As I said, someone without the quest dealt the death blow I bet.
Pearl Dragon: No!
Morder Lust: No, there was no amulet.
Kayriena Dragonwing: Fine by me.
Jo Lust: Well?
Pearl Dragon: I want to show him the amulet..
Delith Di'manodel: Let's roll for the dagger
Morder Lust: Now let's roll for that later.
Kayriena Dragonwing: What kind we roll?
Pearl Dragon: Someone must have it!
Morder Lust: //dice bag
Marla Tal'Norinda: //Read again...
Morder Lust: //Hmm
Pearl Dragon: Didn't anyone pick up the amulet?.
Morder Lust: //d10?
Marla Tal'Norinda: It wasn't there.
Kayriena Dragonwing: // set to local
Delith Di'manodel: Roll 1d20: 11 = Total: 11
Jo Lust: //1d20
Pearl Dragon: This is total nonsense!
Jo Lust: Roll 1d20: 3 = Total: 3
Morder Lust: //1d20 then
Delith Di'manodel: 11...
Jo Lust: //BAH!
Kayriena Dragonwing: Roll 1d20: 5 = Total: 5
Morder Lust: Roll 1d20: 12 = Total: 12
Marla Tal'Norinda: Roll 1d20: 13 = Total: 13
Morder Lust: Roll!
Pearl Dragon: I checked the high priest myself, and someone had already looted him.
Delith Di'manodel: *Sighs*
Pearl Dragon: Roll For what?
Marla Tal'Norinda: //Listen Pearl.
Marla Tal'Norinda: //It didn't drop.
Morder Lust: //dice bag
Kayriena Dragonwing: // if pearl doesn't roll then maria gets it
Delith Di'manodel: The dagger *smiles*
Pearl Dragon: Without the amulet, what's the point?
Morder Lust: For the dagger.
Pearl Dragon: *Listens*
Morder Lust: You can get money from it.
Pearl Dragon: Dagger? Keep the damned dagger.
Morder Lust: So your not goin' to roll?
Pearl Dragon: I don't care about any dagger
Jo Lust: *sighs*
Pearl Dragon: What you rolling.? Which dice?
Marla Tal'Norinda: 20
Morder Lust: //dice bag 1d20
Pearl Dragon: There are so many. Let me try.. 20? ok?
Morder Lust: Yes.
Morder Lust: 1 d 20.
Pearl Dragon: 20 of which one?
Morder Lust: //1d20
Kayriena Dragonwing: Roll one twenty sided die for Pete's sake!
Pearl Dragon: 20 of number one type.. *looks in her dice bag*  Damn, there's a LOT of stuff in this dice bag...
Marla Tal'Norinda: //I believe there was a post on practical RP made in the forums.
Jerrid Tremayne: ... I really don't want to ask..
Marla Tal'Norinda: //You'd do well to read it.
Pearl Dragon: *Rummages around in the dice bag* Ah hah!
Jo Lust: *sigh again*
Delith Di'manodel: Bah. I'm off to the Lizards now.
Pearl Dragon: What's this?
Delith Di'manodel: Anyone would like to come?
Jo Lust: Me.
Pearl Dragon: No forums in my dice bag, sorry.
Morder Lust: ...
Morder Lust: Let me roll for her.
Pearl Dragon: O.k., one more try.
Morder Lust: Roll 1d20: 3 = Total: 3
Jo Lust: //Don't mix the ooc an ic!
Morder Lust: //lol
Delith Di'manodel: Great.
Pearl Dragon: PC Dice bag : [Private] What kind of die do you want to roll?
Morder Lust: That wasn't her roll.
Pearl Dragon: d20 How many 20-sided dice do you want to roll?
Morder Lust: *looks at the sky*
Pearl Dragon: 1d20
Pearl Dragon: Dice bag [Private] What roll?
Morder Lust: Well.
Delith Di'manodel: Alright.. We'll be leaving to the lizards.
Jo Lust: To lizards!
Delith Di'manodel: Anyone else would like to come?
Marla Tal'Norinda: Absolutely.
Delith Di'manodel: // leave party then
Pearl Dragon: *can't figure the interface out,. "sigh, it's TRULY beyond me."* [Cancel] dice.
Delith Di'manodel: Alright.. Shall we?.
Morder Lust: Hmm...
Pearl Dragon: *Clicks cancel after a bunch of frustration.*
Morder Lust: Are you goin' to hunt lizards?
Jerrid Tremayne: Heh, wonder what all that is about.
Pearl Dragon: Sorry, never was good at dice..
Morder Lust: It's ok.
Pearl Dragon: You would! LOL
Morder Lust: Well, the others went to hunt lizards. You can still catch up with them if you want to.
Pearl Dragon: Ah, well, the life of an adventuress is never easy..
Pearl Dragon: What's next.. *Still miffed about that missin' amulet*
Morder Lust: Well,  As i said,  "the others went to hunt lizards."
Pearl Dragon: Yes?  Lizards?
Where are they?
Morder Lust: Swamps.
Pearl Dragon: Swamps.. *Shudder*
Morder Lust: I think they went up and then to right, but I am headin' to town.
Pearl Dragon: Can't we go somewhere nice for a change?
Morder Lust: Hmm...
Pearl Dragon: Always caves, swamps, nasty places like that.
Morder Lust: Well ...
Pearl Dragon: Well?
Morder Lust: Can't really think of any nice place to hunt .
Pearl Dragon: Hunt? Who said, "hunt?"
I said, "some place nice for a change."
Morder Lust: Oh. *laughs* ok then. Town is nice place,
and The Nomad is in town.
Pearl Dragon: Ok. Lead on.
Morder Lust: I think I am goin' for drink.
Pearl Dragon: Tired of all that hunting anyhow. One season is enough for one day..
Morder Lust: Heh.
Pearl Dragon: Wouldn't you say, Mord?  May I call you "Mord" for short, or do you prefer "Mor?"
Morder Lust: Heh,  all fine by me,
Pearl Dragon: Like "MORE" .. *rubbing the pun in*
Morder Lust: Hmm.
Pearl Dragon: *Not laughing to make it obvious.*

(They arrive at The Nomad, Cordor's premier tavern.)
Morder Lust: You want a drink?
Pearl Dragon: What's good to drink here?
Morder Lust: Hmm...
Morder Lust: I usually drink spirits. It tastes fine.
Pearl Dragon: I'm not a strong drinker, though..
Morder Lust: Heh.
Pearl Dragon: Something light is ok..
Morder Lust: Well let me see..
Griff Arnemen: If it isn't Morder! Take a load off lad and lemme get ya somethin' to drink an' a sympathetic ear...
Morder Lust: Sounds great.
Pearl Dragon: Maybe mead.. That's made from honey, so it's quite sweet, and they do say...
Morder Lust: There you go. So?
Pearl Dragon: The lore masters that is who say...
Morder Lust: Hmm.
Pearl Dragon: You have heard, eh, Mor?
Morder Lust: I drink spirits. *grins*  I like the taste.
Pearl Dragon: What the lore masters say?
Morder Lust: Hmm.
Pearl Dragon: About mead that is. The word honeymoon comes from it in fact, see?
Morder Lust: Yes. So?
Pearl Dragon: You know why?
Morder Lust: Nope.
Pearl Dragon: You see mead is made from honey, so that's why it's "honey" moon.
Morder Lust: He he. Smart. So?
Pearl Dragon: The mead was given to the newlyweds so...
Morder Lust: Do you wanna sit on cushions or chairs?
Pearl Dragon: That the chances would be increased..
Pearl Dragon: Oh, pillows, by all means..
Morder Lust: Ok, then, well sit down.
Pearl Dragon: Have a drink of this aphrodisiacal mead before we sit down though..
Morder Lust: Hmm. Ok.
Pearl Dragon: It's HARD... to drink sitting down..
Morder Lust: Heh. Actually...
Pearl Dragon: *Burp*
Morder Lust: I am goin' to get a few meads myself. I'll be right back .
Pearl Dragon: Oh! .. Makes me burp.
Morder Lust: *Burp*
Morder Lust: Heh. Nice taste.
Pearl Dragon: By the way, Mor..
Morder Lust: Yes?
Pearl Dragon: I was listening before at the farmer's house. Just bein' naughty is all.. ** Laugh **
Pearl Dragon: Everyone gets so upset about that kinda stuff. I really don't care. Just bothers me to see it all buggered up like that. It's a simple quest really. Why do people always mess it up? Sigh!
Morder Lust: Don't know.
Pearl Dragon: Only about once in ten tries can they get it straight. Bloody shame really, but what kind of nonsense is this I'm spouting? Mead must have gone right to my poor little head..  ** Laugh **
